The Hydrometeorological Yearbook 2020 is a continuation of the process of publishing climate data generated and monitored by the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo, which carries out this task based on Law No. 06/L-035 on Hydrometeorological Activities.
The Yearbook contains information from continuous hydrological, climatological and meteorological monitoring in the Republic of Kosovo for 2020.
The information collected through the HMIK monitoring of climatic conditions in Kosovo represents important and reliable data that can be used for the development and operation of water resources management structures, the design of river infrastructure, and by policymakers in implementing sustainable policies in the fields of hydrology, meteorology and climate change, as well as by donors in directing the necessary projects.
The data provided through this “Hydrometeorological Yearbook” also enable the identification of significant climate changes and serve as a basis for developing a work plan for managing crises caused by climate change, as well as for adapting to them.
