The Kosovo Institute for Nature Protection, as part of its activities to protect rare fauna species, carried out a joint activity with the Wildlife-Albanian Photographers organization, KEDS and the Municipality of Kosovo Polje.
The aim of the cooperation was to replace the old and damaged pole where the nest of the White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) was located with a new concrete pole, together with a metal nest structure. This enabled the White Stork to return to the new nest and continue nesting.
This activity, as well as other similar activities, has a positive impact on the conservation of the White Stork population, as an endangered fauna species in Kosovo.
