As part of the monitoring activities of the Institute for Nature Protection of Kosovo (INPK), monitoring of wild fauna has continued through the use of wildlife monitoring cameras across the territory of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park.
As part of this activity, which aims to collect reliable data on the presence, distribution, and activity of wild fauna species in their natural habitats, several important wildlife species were documented this time, including: roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra), wild boar (Sus scrofa), wildcat (Felis silvestris), brown bear (Ursus arctos), wolf (Canis lupus), red fox (Vulpes vulpes), European badger (Meles meles), and others.
The collected data demonstrate the rich biodiversity and ecological importance of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park as an important protected natural area for the conservation of rare wildlife species.
The presented materials (photographs and videos) were captured using wildlife monitoring cameras and showcase part of the wild fauna documented in this national park.
This activity was carried out as a result of cooperation between the Institute for Nature Protection of Kosovo (INPK) and wildlife photographer Blerim Gjoci.
