Sustainable Pasture Management in Sharri National Park

21 May 2026

Under the motto “Stronger and more resilient mountain farming communities build healthier ecosystems in the Sharri region”, around 20 farmers from mountainous areas of the municipalities of Dragash and Prizren took part in practical training on sustainable pasture management.

The trained farmers were mainly those who work with pastures and livestock on a daily basis. In addition to exchanging experiences, they were also informed about practices and ideas that can help improve the way they manage their pastures and herds, as well as about opportunities to benefit from various funding sources, including EU IPA funds for sustainable and organic agriculture.

The activity was organized by CNVP Kosovo, in cooperation with the Directorate of Sharri National Park, within the framework of the project “Sustainable Pastures in the Cross-Border Region of Sharri/Korab/Koritnik/Mavrovo”, supported by the Aage V. Jensen Charity Foundation and the Nando & Elsa Peretti Foundation.
