With the support of the IWRM-K programme and implemented by Skat Consulting Ltd. and the Environment Agency Austria, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure and the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo, activities continued within the projects “Geodetic Measurements of Hydrometric Profiles” and “Development of Flow Duration Curves”, this time on the Lepenc River (Hani i Elezit).
On this occasion, experts from the HIK carried out hydrometric measurements using the “Current Metering – F1” method, while the implementing company GEO-S conducted geodetic and drone measurements at this hydrometric profile. These measurements are important for determining the geometry of the river and its surrounding area within a perimeter of 1 ha. The studies are intended to determine “flood thresholds” and establish quantitative indicators of the river.
Representatives of the Swiss Office and representatives of the IWRM-K programme were present during this activity.
