The Regional Waste Company “Ambienti” J.S.C. Pejë, today has placed containers for waste collection at two locations in the Rugova area. The start of the area's maintenance was preceded by an agreement concluded between the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency and the Regional Waste Company “Ambienti” J.S.C. Pejë, for waste management and the maintenance of the Rugova area of PK “Bjeshkët e Nemuna”.
The purpose of this agreement is the maintenance and management of waste in the Rugova area, specifically in the localities of Kuçishtë, Drelaj, Shtupeq i Madh, and Rekë e Allagës, within the territory of the “Bjeshkët e Nemuna” National Park. The agreement specifies the provision of services by the Regional Waste Company “Ambienti,” which includes: placement of waste containers, engagement of staff for area maintenance, collection of waste, and transport of waste to the Sanitary Waste Landfill in Sferkë.
The services of the Regional Waste Company “Ambienti” sh.a, will enable the sustainable management of waste in the Rugova area of the “Bjeshkët e Nemuna” National Park, reflecting on the protection of natural values, the improvement of the image, and the promotion of tourist values, based on the Law on the Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park, the Law on Nature Protection, and the Regulation on the Internal Order of National Parks.
