After the Drini i Bardhë river basin, with management plans, the remaining 3 river basins - Ibër, Lepenc and Morava - are also being completed.
With the aim of creating prerequisites for sustainable development of water resources and their more efficient management, upon the proposal of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, the Government approved the Decision for public review of the River Basin Management Plans for Ibër, Lepenc and Morava e Binçës.
The River Basin Management Plans are key documents for the implementation of the Water Framework Directive 2000/60.
Considering the decision for public review of the River Basin Management Plans of the Ibar, Lepenac, and Binačka Morava, the documents offer a comprehensive approach to water resources management, including various aspects such as quality, quantity, ecological status, pollution prevention, and economic aspects. These Plans, following consultation with stakeholders and public consultation, are valid for a six-year period. Therefore, we invite all interested parties to contribute to improving the quality of the planning documents in the field of water resources.
