Organized in collaboration by KEERC, AMMK, and the University of Konstanz, at the KEERC field station in ITP, Prizren, a Workshop was held with the nature rangers of the national parks "Sharri" and "Bjeshkët e Nemuna."
In the first part of the Workshop, participants were introduced to the activities, the exhibit with specimens, and the objectives of the KEERC project.
We discussed the challenges and experiences regarding nature protection, biodiversity, and nature tourism, as well as the activities carried out within the protected areas.
Additionally, the attendees had the opportunity to gain more knowledge about the basics of using identification maps and using GIS from expert Përparim Gashi from AMMK.
Meanwhile, the afternoon session was an adventure in nature! In the Prevalle area, the nature rangers gained practical knowledge on species monitoring, indicator identification, the impact of fires on species extinction, as well as the promotion of tourism. Today was filled with valuable lessons, enjoyable interactions with researchers, experts, rangers, and students, as well as unforgettable moments in nature.
