The Directorate for the Administration of the Sharri National Park informs you that it is closely monitoring the situation created as a result of the activities of certain types of wild animals, specifically the Brown Bear, which have increased their presence in residential areas as well as in locations designated for visitors within the territory of the Sharri National Park.
This situation recurs every year, mainly during the May-June period, when the bears increase their visits to these areas and locations where food waste is disposed, in search of food.
Due to the created situation and in an effort to closely monitor the situation, the Directorate for the Administration of the Sharri National Park has increased the number of inspections and activities in the field during these days, such as:
DAPK 'Sharri' will continue with other activities, but at the same time it invites other relevant institutions and the Police Stations of Shtërpce and the Police Stations of Prizren for cooperation, and also asks the residents of the area and visitors not to throw food waste in the park's territory.
