13.12.2021 - The agreement is part of the Memorandum of Understanding between GIZ and AKMM, which through close cooperation of the signing parties, aims to create a basis for the functioning of a sustainable monitoring and reporting system for municipal waste.
The main objective of this agreement is to provide AKMM with support in creating a sustainable reporting system through the digitization of standardized reporting forms, in order to ensure that the collected data is utilized for the strategic planning of capital investments in the waste management sector.
Based on this agreement, AMMK, within its tasks and responsibilities, will, among other things, make functional the sustainable hosting of the web-based software solution within the domain “rks-gov.net,” build capacities for the administration and updating of this digital platform, inform all relevant actors about the implementation of the new digital platform, ensure the sustainability of the web-based software for the purpose of reporting, monitoring, and evaluating municipal waste management data, and carry out other activities related to the sustainable maintenance of the system.
While GIZ, within the framework of the implementation of the agreement, will provide technical support to AMMK during the preparation, development, and implementation of the internet-based system according to the agreed action plan, support to AKMM in capacity development for its employees through training materials and further development of the digital solution, as well as providing technical and financial support for the design and development of the system.
