01.12.2010. Today in Brussels, the promotion of the Report "State of the Environment in Europe and Outlook 2010" took place. The promotion of this Report was conducted within the framework of the conference organized by the European Environment Agency in cooperation with the Belgian Environment Agency. The Report provides data on the state of the environment in Europe, giving special attention to climate change, biodiversity, natural resources, waste, health and quality of life, environmental challenges in a global context, and the interconnections between them. The final part of the Report presents some reflections on future environmental priorities in the European Union. The main messages conveyed by the report are oriented towards preventing the continuous depletion of natural resource reserves and the flows of ecosystem services in Europe, opportunities for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and how much is
This is the reduction on the right path to fulfill the obligations arising from the Kyoto Protocol, the expansion of the network of areas to create a wide network of protected areas and programs to prevent the extinction of endangered species, increasing resource efficiency through the relative allocation of resource use, emissions, and waste generation from economic development, long-term concerns about damage to human health, links between the state of the environment in Europe and various global megatrends, implementation of environmental policies and strengthening of environmental governance, as well as the transformation towards a European green economy which will ensure long-term sustainability of Europe's environment. The special feature of this Report is that a synthesis of it is published for the first time in the Albanian language.
