CEO of KMEPA meets with Executive Director of the Austrian Environment Agency

19.01.2012 - The Executive Director of the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Ilir Morina, is on an official visit to Vienna. During this visit, he met with the Executive Director of the Austrian Environment Agency, Mr. Georg Reberning.
The meeting focused especially on the progress of the European Commission Twinning Project 'Support for the Environmental Sector in Kosovo', whose main beneficiary is the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency and which is being implemented by the Austrian Environment Agency, in cooperation with experts from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the meeting, other possibilities for cooperation in the field of environmental protection and climate change were also discussed. Ideas and proposals for potential projects that could be implemented in the future were exchanged.
The CEO of AMMK, as part of his official stay in Vienna, is also participating in the Leadership Program, organized by the World Bank with the theme: Implementation of pioneering reforms in the solid waste management sector.
