AMMK becomes a member of the EPA Network

03.02.2012 - The Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, Dr.sc. Ilir Morina, has been officially invited to be part of the European Network of Heads of European Environmental Agencies.

The CEO of AMMK will participate in the 18th network meeting, which is planned to be held at the beginning of April this year in London, United Kingdom.

The meeting is expected to discuss how to improve governance and the implementation of European environmental legislation. The European Water Action Programme will also be discussed.

EPA Network is an informal network that brings together all the leaders or directors of National Environmental Protection Agencies or similar institutions from European countries.

The main goal of this network is the exchange of views and experiences on issues and common interests of the participating organizations in the practical implementation of environmental policies.

The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency hopes that through membership in this important environmental network, it will gain experience from European countries in the implementation of environmental legislation as well as increase cooperation with other European environmental agencies.
