15.03.2012 - In the latest informational bulletin published by the EPA Network, it has been officially confirmed that the profile of the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency has been posted on the website of this network as a full-member. KEPA is the 38th member of this informal network which brings together all the leaders or directors of National Environmental Protection Agencies or similar institutions from European countries.
In the presented profile, which can be viewed by clicking on the link: http://epanet.ew.eea.europa.eu/european_epas/countries/kosovo, there is information on the establishment, history, organization, duties, and responsibilities of KEPA.
The main goal of this network is the exchange of views and experiences on issues and common interests of the participating organizations in the practical implementation of environmental policies.
Also, AMMK has been invited to participate in the next EPA Network meeting, which will be held in London. At this meeting, AMMK will be represented by Chief Executive Dr.sc. Ilir Morina. At the 18th network meeting, which is planned to be held at the beginning of April this year, issues related to the improvement of governance and the implementation of European environmental legislation are expected to be discussed.
The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency hopes that through membership in this important environmental network it will gain experience from European countries in the implementation of environmental legislation as well as increase cooperation with other European environmental agencies.
