27/02/2013/ The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency/KEPA, with the support of the European Commission/EC through the TAIEX Instrument (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument), organized the workshop on the Implementation of the European Union Directive on access to environmental information and the Aarhus Convention in Kosovo.

The aim of this workshop was to strengthen the capacities of Kosovo's national environmental institutions to implement the European Union Directive on access to environmental information and the Aarhus Convention, for access to environmental information, public participation in the environmental decision-making process, as well as the right to address the courts on environmental issues.

In this workshop, their experience in implementing these two important international environmental acts was presented by six experts from different countries of the European Union. The meeting was mainly attended by representatives from national environmental institutions whose work is connected with the implementation of the European Union Directive on access to environmental information and the Aarhus Convention, but also by representatives from Environmental Non-Governmental Organizations and experts.
