16/09/2013 - The Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Dardan Gashi, has decided to remove the summer camp from the Prevallë area in Sharr National Park. Through this decision, the private company Is Company from Prizren and other owners are ordered to remove the illegal structures in the summer camp area in Prevallë.

The decision of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning orders that within 15 days all prefabricated structures must be removed, all accompanying constructions in the camp must be demolished, the camp area must be cleaned of construction waste, and the degraded natural surface must be rehabilitated according to the existing landscape in plots 182, 2371, 2354, 2355, etc., of the Gornjasellë Cadastral Area.

The decision also specifies that in the event that Is Company does not remove the structures within the set deadline, MMPH will demolish all the structures and the expenses will be borne by the company and the owners of the structures. This decision by the minister of MMPH came after the warning that the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning will not allow the degradation of the tourist village of Prevalla and the Prevalla area in general.

As part of the efforts to implement the MMPH’s decision to stop all activities in the Prevalla area, Minister Dardan Gashi has also formed a task force which is dealing specifically with this issue. The actions will initially focus on demolishing unauthorized constructions and then the problem of those who have permits but have exceeded them will also be addressed.
