The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency informs the media, the public, and all other entities that, based on Article 8 of the Law on Hydrometeorological Activities, the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute is the only official institution that makes weather forecasts for the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Other entities, legal and natural persons, may carry out hydrometeorological activities for their own needs only if they have approval from the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. Also, all entities, legal and natural persons who have approval to carry out hydrometeorological activities are obliged to submit the results obtained to the KHMIs within 30 days.
The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency requests that the media and other entities comply with the law and for official information on hydrometeorological data, to contact AMMK, specifically the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute, as part of it.
