11/03/2014 - The Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. Ilir Morina, met today with a delegation from the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro, led by the director of this agency, Mr. Ervin Spahic.
During the meeting, possibilities for cooperation between the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro were discussed, focusing on the implementation of joint projects in the field of nature protection and cross-border management of National Parks.
Furthermore, the possibilities for bilateral support and cooperation in the reporting process to the European Environment Agency (EEA) and in the European Network for monitoring and observation (EIONET) were also examined and discussed.
The topic of the meeting was also the participation of the Environmental Agencies of the countries in the region in the 24th meeting of the European Network of Heads of European Environmental Agencies (EPA Network), which will be held in Kosovo in September of this year and will be organized by AMMK. During the meeting, other possibilities for cooperation in the environmental protection and climate change sector were also discussed, and several ideas and proposals for possible future projects that could be realized were exchanged.
