27.01.2015- Based on Article 84, paragraph 3 and Article 151 of Law no. 03/L-233 on Nature Protection, the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, respectively the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, announces the opening of the public debate on the draft management plan of the "Sharri" National Park.
MESP-KEPA informs the public about the opening of the public debate for the proposed plan and invites the public to submit their comments and suggestions within thirty (30) days from the date of this publication.
This Management Plan was prepared during the year 2013, with support from the UNDP project for "Sustainable Land Use Management and Biodiversity Conservation in the Municipality of Dragash." This project has enabled the expansion of the Sharri Mountain National Park to also include the municipality of Dragash, and with the aim of supporting this process, an agreement was reached with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MESP) to prepare a management plan for the expanded national park. The format of the plan is based on the guidelines established in the management plan for the protected area by the EU Twinning Project Support for Sustainable Forest Management, implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development and the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.
It was prepared through a process that included technical meetings, consultations, public debates, and workshops, which were organized during 2013. The planning process was led by the Working Group established at the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.
