04.02.2015 - The Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ferid Agani, accompanied by the French Ambassador to Kosovo, Ms. Maryse Daviet, and the Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Ilir Morina, have reopened the Gadime Cave, which had been closed after an investment in internal lighting worth 11,000 euros funded by the French embassy was carried out.

This investment by Minister Agani was assessed as very appropriate, because according to him, it has made possible and improved the safety of both the cave and the visitors. Minister Agani thanked the French ambassador for the untiring help of the state she comes from and pledged that Kosovar institutions will engage to advance this mutual cooperation even further. Likewise, Minister Agani announced that from April 20-26, 2015, four officials from the cave directorate will attend specialized training for tour guides and cave management in the south of France, a donation from the French government.

Ambassador Ms. Maryse Daviet said that investments in this cave will continue in the future, because according to her, the characteristics possessed by this cave are of special and unique importance. It was also announced that a specialized company has been engaged, which has prepared a detailed project with measurements and preliminary calculations for the external completion of the buildings and supporting roads, a project which will be carried out in the future.
