23.04.2015 - Within the framework of participation in the 24th meeting of the EPA Network (Network of Heads of Environmental Agencies of Europe), which is being held in Riga, Latvia, the Chief Executive Officer of AMMK, Dr. Sci. Ilir Morina, also met with Mr. Karl Falkenberg, Director General in the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission.
The CEO of AMMK informed him about the general environmental situation in Kosovo and about the work of environmental institutions, and at the same time requested support from the European Commission for the continuation of environmental protection in Kosovo through concrete projects. They also discussed the possibilities and forms of cooperation in the future between Kosovo’s central environmental institutions and the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission.
The CEO of AMMK, Dr. Ilir Morina, has also held other meetings with various representatives of Environmental Agencies in Europe, where he discussed possibilities for cooperation in the environmental sector.
The 24th meeting of the Epa Network will conclude tomorrow, where in addition to recommendations, there will also be a summary of the activities planned to be carried out this year by the network.
