12.05.2016 - Representatives from Environmental Agencies and other relevant institutions from 39 European countries are participating in the meeting. Kosovo is represented at this meeting by the Chief Executive Officer of the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Ilir Morina.
The main topics being discussed at this meeting are: the green economy and the sustainable use of natural resources in Europe, cooperation and exchange of experiences between the Environment Department of the European Commission and the Epa-Network, food waste, the use of environmental data in the environmental planning process, Europe's new environmental policies, etc. As part of the meeting, there will also be a special discussion on supporting the environmental agencies of the Balkans within the framework of the program developed by the Balkan interest group, a program initiated by the KEPA.
Besides the official meeting program, there will also be other activities and visits such as a visit to the Trakai Historical National Park and the Trakai Castle near Vilnius, the nature reserves in Kernavė, etc.
Kosovo continues to be an active member of this network not only through participation in regular meetings but also through activities and programs within interest groups such as the one for the Western Balkans.
