02.09.2016 - The Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo has continued the publication of the electronic version of the Hydro-Climatological Bulletin for the year 2016, with the release of the second issue of this bulletin.
The preparation of the Hydrological and Climatological Bulletin is based on the data collected from hydrological and meteorological monitoring in Kosovo during the period 01 April - 30 June 2016.
The Hydrological and Climatological Bulletin reflects the hydrological and climatological conditions and the cases of occurrence of extreme weather phenomena. It provides field data on water levels in the rivers of Kosovo, precipitation amounts, and the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), as well as information on climatic conditions including average, minimum, and maximum monthly temperatures, hours of sunshine, and rainy days during the second quarter of 2016. Information is also provided on cases of occurrence of extreme weather phenomena in Kosovo and the areas affected by extreme weather during the period referred to in this bulletin.
The aim of this bulletin is to keep governmental and non-governmental institutions informed about the hydrological situation in Kosovo, climatic conditions, and extreme phenomena so that relevant institutions and policymakers can orient their projects and action plans accordingly. For more information, see the Hydro-Climatological Bulletin No. 2, 2016.
