20.09.2016 - The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency is pleased to share with you the Report, The State of the Environment in Kosovo 2015. The report has been prepared within the framework of activities to fulfill the tasks and legal responsibilities that KEPA has for regular reporting on the state of the environment. The report mainly contains data from environmental monitoring but also data from projects, publications, and other relevant documents for the environment.
Part of the report also includes data from government and non-government institutions that have specific responsibilities in the environmental sector and that provide data from this sector. The preparation of the report has also been supported by other sectors of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. AKMM expresses gratitude and appreciation to all those who contributed to the finalization of this document, whether by providing the necessary data or by giving their suggestions and comments. We value, appreciate, and welcome all the efforts, comments, and suggestions of institutions, experts, environmental NGOs, and environmental enthusiasts, which will assist us in the preparation of future publications, in improving their quality and reliability.
We hope that this report will be a modest contribution, not only for providing real information on the state of the environment in Kosovo but also as a document that will serve policymakers in implementing sustainable environmental policies and donors in guiding future projects.
