20 January 2017
20.01.2017- This improvement in conditions has come as a result of changes in atmospheric conditions, namely the appearance of favorable meteorological conditions for the dispersion of pollutant concentrations, such as the removal of fog, the appearance of wind, and snowfall.
This situation has affected the dispersion of pollutant concentrations emitted by industry, transport, and from collective and individual heating, thus improving air quality.
Based on measurements carried out by the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo and the analysis of results obtained from automatic air quality monitoring, it has been observed that in recent days there have been no recorded exceedances of daily limit values for PM10.
On 19.01.2017, the daily average value was 16.5 µg/m3, which is significantly below the daily limit values allowed for the protection of human health (50 µg/m3). Low concentrations were also recorded with the PM2.5 pollutant, which during this time recorded a daily average value of 14.0 µg/m3.
