Air Quality Report 27-30.01.2017

30 January 2017

30.01.2017 - Based on the measurements conducted by the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo, from the analysis of the results obtained from the automatic air quality monitoring, it has been observed that in recent days there have been exceedances of the daily limit values for PM10.

The allowed daily limit value for the protection of human health is 50 µg/m³, while during these days the maximum daily average value was recorded on 29.01.2017, reaching 254.9 µg/m³. On 27.01.2017, a value of 68.89 µg/m³ was registered, while on 28.01.2017, a value of 217.09 µg/m³ was registered.

This deterioration of the situation has occurred as a result of changes in atmospheric conditions, specifically the appearance of unfavorable meteorological conditions for the dispersion of pollutant concentrations, such as dense fog, wind speed 0.0 m/s, high air humidity 98%, atmospheric pressure 952.6 mb, temperature -11.6 degrees C. This situation has affected the lack of dispersion of pollutant concentrations emitted into the air. For more, the report from IHMK.
