21.03.2017- The hydrometeorological yearbook is an important source of information from hydrometeorological monitoring and observations. Its purpose is to serve as a reliable and official data base for policymakers, the public, the scientific community, and representatives of the private sector, for the planning and economic development of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Hydrometeorological Yearbook for the year 2014 contains information from the monitoring of hydrological and meteorological phenomena and parameters during that year. Part of the report also includes data on the extent of the network of meteorological and hydrological stations in Kosovo.
The yearbook has been prepared as part of activities for fulfilling the duties and responsibilities that IHMK has in reporting and informing about meteorological and hydrological phenomena and the state of the meteorology and hydrology sector. This is the first official hydrometeorological yearbook prepared by the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo since the post-war period.
The yearbook will be a modest contribution, not only for informing about the hydrometeorological situation in Kosovo but also a document that will serve in the implementation of sustainable policies in the hydrology, meteorology, and climate change sector. This yearbook, among other things, will also serve as a guide for donors in directing projects necessary for strengthening this sector.
