17.04.2018 - The Director of DAPK "Bjeshkët e Nemuna", Fatmir Morina, together with the representative of the KEP project – Environmental Program for Kosovo, Mr. Jorge Maluenda, met with representatives of the Municipality of Deçan, where they were received by the Mayor of the Municipality of Deçan, Mr. Bashkim Ramosaj, the Director of Urban Planning, Mr. Ramë Melaj, the Director of Budget and Finance, Ms. Syzana Mustafaj, and the Director of Economic Development, Ms. Fitore Shala. The meeting discussed cooperation on the Drafting of the Management Plan for the "Bjeshkët e Nemuna" National Park.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Deçan and his staff expressed their willingness to cooperate and support the drafting of the plan, being grateful for such an initiative which, among other things, will also help the Municipality of Deçan in protecting natural resources and sustainably developing tourism.
The drafting of the Management Plan for the “Bjeshkët e Nemuna” National Park is part of the activities within the framework of the third component of the KEP Program, which aims to strengthen the management of cross-border natural areas. The Environmental Program for Kosovo, which began implementation in 2017, will continue until 2019. This program is being financed by the Swedish Government, specifically by the Swedish International Development Agency - SIDA.
