07.09.2018 - Within the framework of activities planned as part of the third Component of the Environmental Program for Kosovo, the workshop “Presentation and discussion of the draft detailed plan for the Guri i Zi (Zaplluxhe) area” was held in Sharri National Park.
The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize the stakeholders with the draft of the plan document for the Guri i Zi area and to discuss issues related to this document, with a particular emphasis on addressing challenges associated with spatial planning and environmental protection.
Representatives from various interest groups participated in the workshop, including relevant central and local level institutions and civil society organizations, who discussed the main findings of the document and provided proposals for its completion.
The workshop was held within the framework of the third component of KEP: Strengthening the Management of Cross-Border Natural Areas, which aims to support the Directorates of National Parks in building an appropriate structure for park management and in strengthening technical and professional capacities to promote sustainable development. This component is one of the eight technical components of the Kosovo Environmental Program proposed by the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MESP), funded by SIDA and managed by the Swedish Embassy in Kosovo.
