20.09.2018- The CEO of AMMK, Ilir Morina, is participating in the 31st plenary conference of the EPA Network being held in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The purpose of this meeting, being held under the motto 'Keeping Up with Change,' is the exchange of experiences regarding the changes occurring in the context of sustainable development, as well as the continuation of important environmental discussions from the agenda and activities of the European Commission, the European Environment Agency, and the Copernicus Program.
Some of the main topics being addressed within the framework of the meeting's special thematic sessions are: environmental emergency management, sustainable environmental infrastructure, environmental forecasts and scenarios, as well as investments and financing for the environmental sector.
An important part of the meeting agenda also includes presentations and activities carried out within the framework of the interest groups operating within EPA Net, such as: improvement of legal regulations, science and citizenship, green economy, plastic waste, and the interest group for the Western Balkans.
The EPA Network consists of directors and leaders of Environmental Agencies from European countries. Kosovo has been a full member of this network since 2011 and is represented in this organization through the head of the Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, Mr. Ilir Morina.
