05.06.2020 - The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency, through the Directorate for the Administration of the “Sharr” National Park, and in cooperation with the WWF Adria office in Prishtina, marked today June 5th - World Environment Day.
The main activity took place in the tourist area of Prevallë, on the Prevallë-Brezovicë road, where a cleanup action was undertaken along the road and the riverbed, as well as a nature walk to the location of the Big Spring, also known as the Watchers' House.
World Environment Day this year was celebrated under the theme "Time for Nature." Knowing the fact that all material goods, food, the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the climate that surrounds us come from nature, this motto aims to encourage activities that promote the protection of nature and its role in public well-being and health.
The activity was organized precisely in the Sharri National Park, with the motto Parks for Health – Healthy parks, healthy people, knowing the importance that National Parks have for nature protection.
