12.02.2021 - Within the framework of assessing the data flow process of Kosovo for the year 2020, as part of the European Network for Monitoring and Observation – EIONET, Kosovo has shown significant progress and for the first time since the beginning of its participation in this process, it reaches 80% of the reporting obligations.
Within the assessment for the year 2020, which included 5 reporting areas, Kosovo received the maximum points (4) for reporting data on air quality, air emissions, greenhouse gases, and protected areas.
This time Kosovo has not managed to obtain points regarding online reporting of air quality data, even though it started online reporting in November 2020. However, according to the requirements of EEA/EIONET, to receive the maximum rating within a year, at least 70% of the data must be reported in real time. The year 2020 marks the year with the greatest progress in reporting history in EIONET/EEA, since 2011 (57%), 2018 (60%), 2019 (67%).
