12.02.2021- The Hydrometeorological Yearbook 2019 is a continuation of the process of publishing climate data generated and monitored by the Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo, which performs this task based on Law No. 06/L -035 on hydrometeorological activities.
The yearbook contains information from continuous hydrological, climatological, and meteorological monitoring in the Republic of Kosovo for the year 2019.
The information processed from the monitoring of the HMIK on climatic conditions in Kosovo is important and reliable data that can be used for the construction and operation of water resource management structures, for the design of river infrastructure, and will serve policymakers in implementing sustainable policies in the hydrology, meteorology, and climate change sectors, as well as donors in guiding necessary projects.
The data provided through this “Hydrometeorological Yearbook” also enables the identification of pronounced climate changes and serves for drafting the work plan for managing crises from climate changes and adapting to them.
The publication of the yearbook is supported by GIZ GmbH within the framework of support for the establishment and strengthening of the hydrology and meteorology sector in Kosovo.
