30.06.2021 - The Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency has published the Municipal Waste Management Report for the year 2019.
This report reflects the state of implementation of legislation in the field of municipal waste management, coverage of waste collection and transportation services, billing and collection, identification and registration of illegal landfills throughout the territory of the country, the quantity of municipal waste collected and generated according to municipalities, data related to municipalities' initiatives for waste separation at source, and other important data.
The presented data are real and verified through a transparent process in full cooperation with the actors involved in the reporting, collection, and processing of data on waste management in municipalities.
We express the belief that the actors responsible for waste management will use the results and findings in this Report to address bottlenecks and improve the situation in this sector by implementing concrete measures and policies.
